Dayananda
Sagar Business School (DSBS) seeks the most promising and accomplished
students from around the country from a diverse array of locations,
backgrounds and undergraduate institutions.
A degree in any discipline with 50% marks in the aggregate is the basic requirement for admission. Final year students of the Bachelor’s degree course (or equivalent) are also eligible to apply. Such candidates should, however, complete their examinations and all other cognate requirements for graduation on or before 30 June. At the time of registration for the PGDM Programme commencing in July/ August, admitted students will be required to provide a written undertaking from their college and / or university stating that they have completed all the requirements for graduation. Finally, all students must produce their university final grade / marks sheets indicating that they have met all the requirements for graduation and a final or provisional degree certificate from their university before December 31st. Any candidate failing to meet any of these conditions will have to withdraw from the programme.
Selection to the two year full time post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) programme is based on criteria which include: composite MAT score, academic qualifications, consistent academic record in class X & XII and at the under graduate level, essay in the application form, work experience, if any andperformance in the group Discussions and Personal Interviews. Applicants who already hold valid MAT scores are encouraged to apply. Those with academic distinctions and/ or extra curricular activities and / or substantive work experience, will be given additional weightage. Please note that ‘student referrals’ will not qualify for any weightage and / or concession. Each case will be dealt with on merits.
The composite MAT score is but one of the inputs at every stage of the selection process. It is possible that a candidate with a lower composite MAT score is shortlisted for group discussion and personal Interviews, and is offered admission in preference to a candidate with a higher composite MAT score on account of better performance in all other criteria mentioned above. The admission requirements and procedures and the GD/ PI schedule corresponding to each of the four MAT cycles are given enclosed prospectus inserts captioned ‘Admission Requirements’ & ‘Procedures’ & ‘Admissions Calendar’ respectively. It shall be the applicants’ responsibility to ensure that the dates & deadlines are adhered to. Dates and / or deadlines and / or schedules cannot under any circumstances, be changed/ altered to suit the convenience of student applicants.
The enclosed Application Form must be duly filled in. A student’s getting admission will be improved if he/she can include as much relevantinformation as possible.
