Circulation Section :circular section

Circulation  Section is housed in the "A" block, First floor of library.
  • To save the time of the readers, issue and return of books is made through computer.
  • Books are issued on bar-coded identity cards. Students allowed to borrow three books at a time.
  • Students and Staff are entitled to borrow three books at a time for a period of 15 days against ID cards.
  • Books are renewed only for 3 times.
  • Loss of borrower’s card to be reported immediately in writing.
  • Students can also reserve books in advance.
  • Back volumes of journals are issued to both staff and students for duration of 3 days.
  • Over due charges for late return           
    -For first 15 days - Rs.1 (per day)
    -Subsequent 15 days - Rs.2(per day)

Reference Section

 

Reference Section :

The Reference Section is hosted in the "B" block First and Second floor of the library with ample reading facilities. In each floor 90 students can sit and read. In reference section ready reference materials are also available such as dictionaries, encyclopedias, road maps of the city, handbooks etc users can make use of those resources.

Digital Library :

Digital LibraryThe Digital Library is housed in the mezzanine floor of the library. In Digital Library 100 systems are available with internet connection for users to search, browsing information on internet which are subscribed by DSI like E-journals and E-books and more than 1200 Books Journals and educational CD/DVD's are available. Students and staff can borrow these electronic sources on their ID for a period of 2 days.

 

Periodical Section :

Periodical Section is housed in the Ground Floor of the Library. In Periodical section 69 students can sit and read. There are 67 Journals are available for users.

AV Auditorium

AV Auditorium :

AV auditorium is housed in the Lower Ground Floor of the Library building. The capacity of this auditorium is 72. Here readers can sit and watch the educational movies. They can aslo use this Auditorium for conducting of video conforencing, Seminars, workshops and presentations.

 

Private Study ZonePrivate Study Zone :

Discussion rooms are housed in the "A" block Second floor of the library. There are Six rooms are available for group discussion, at a time Four readers can sit and make use of this facility.

Browsing Center :

Dayananda Sagar Institute Library providing browsing facilities for students and facilities of DSI. In the Digital library 100 computers having internet connection, through that the users of the library can search and access allbrowsing center library subscribed E-Resources. For E-Resource sharing purpose the college has taken up membership from INDEST-AICTE Consortium, DELNET, J-GATE, BRITISH Library and NICMAP for better prospects users can access well known sites like, placement papers, Google search, E-books, E-journals etc…Students and staff members are lent CD’s on borrowers card for a period of 7 days. CD Write, Floppy and light Pen, download facilities are available for users. Any help in this regard contact section incharge of Digital Library.
